Nanowrimo

Giving Nanowrimo a try — if you’re not familiar with it, it’s the idea of trying to write a 50,000 word novel in a month.  Sounds crazy, and I probably won’t make it, but it’s a heckuva way to try and jumpstart things to get further into writing a novel than I’ve gotten before.

My novel is tentaively titled “No Fly List”, and it’s a twist on the Hitchcock movie “North by Northwest”.  In the movie, Cary Grant plays an ad executive who is mistaken for a spy by a group of bad guys and framed for a murder.  On the run from the police, he has to try and catch the bad guys to clear his name.  The twist in my book would be that the bad guys in this case mistake him our hero for one of their fellow bad guys that is supposed to be helping them out with their plot.

I’ll be posting pieces on the blog over the month.  It’s very very rough, but let me know what you think.
