OK, so it’s not the greatest Replacements song ever.

But it seems to adequetly express the place we find ourselves in these days.  Our political system doesn’t seem to work.  The mainstream media obsesses over trivia and protects their interests instead of serving ours.  Hollywood and sports have become caricatures of themselves, embracing and rewarding those who act in the most stereotypically inane ways.

It’s not a shakedown in the classic sense, but the effect is the same.  This blog is just my comments on what I see going on in the world around me.
